Blog Post #50- Voiceovers
Within my film, there is a portion where Alex is reflecting on his life choices. Since its impossible to record my own thoughts within my head I had to add voiceovers to my film to act as the thoughts that are currently going through Alex's head.
The voiceovers are only present within the scenes where Alex is outside thinking about what he should do. The voiceovers within my film portray Alex thinking about if he will eventually get caught or not. This leads him to then come to the decision that he will probably get caught if he continues making bad choices so he decides that it is finally time to let go of his bad habits and start to improve his decisions.
In my film, there are 3 portions of voice overs that cover 3 different shots that are used for the full thought process scene. To add these voiceovers, I first went on to iMovie and selected the add button. After this I went to voice overs where the ability to record is then prompted. I stated the lines that I wanted to implement into the scene and after this I would listen to the recording and see how long it is to see if if covers the amount of time that I planned for it to cover. I had to rerecord my voiceovers a few times due to some technical errors. These errors were mostly me either messing up the lines or the lines not covering the amount of time that I wanted them to cover. The re-recording features being easily accessible through iMovie allowed me to efficiently keep trying to perfect the voiceovers without using up a large amount of time.
