Blog Post #49- Postcard Rough Draft
The end of the project is coming very soon so I knew that I had to start having a focus on not just my major tasks, but also the minor tasks for my project. This made me create a rough draft of what my postcard will be excluding the background images that will be added onto the post card in the future.
Having a postcard will allow me to market my film even further and reach more audiences that may have an interest in my coming of age short film.
On the front of the postcard, I added the title of my film in bold so that anyone who receives the postcard knows what the film is called. Under the post card I have text that states "When faced with a decision, will he make the right choice?". I added this because this grabs the audiences attention and makes them think about what the film is about and if this character will make the right decision to whatever he is trying to solve. Within this rough draft of my postcard, I also have a 5 star rating that is from all viewers. My reasoning for this is having a comedic approach to emphasizing the quality of my film because it is impossible to of actually gotten that rating from every single individual who watched my film. The awards at the bottom are for the purpose of showing the audience that Mesa Studios has credibility and will be shown at Sundance film festival.
On the back of the post card, the Mesa Studios logo is shown for the purpose of representing my brand and showing the audience what studio produced The Second Path. On the top left there is text that informs the audience that The Second Path will be shown at The Sundance Film Festival which offers the opportunity for individuals to see the short film early. The showing times for the short film are also available on the postcard and are at the bottom right of the post card. Below this, the official release date for the short film is visible so the audience knows when the film will be available to the general public.
