Blog Post #41- Tripod for Filming

 When production occurs for a film, A camera device isn't the only thing that gets used. Many other things such as lighting devices and movie props are used. One of the devices that I will be using to film my final project will be a tripod. This is because of the many uses that a tripod offers for individuals who are filming any sort of media.

A tripod allows for a camera such as a smart phone camera to be stabilized and still so that the quality of what is recorded is good. This benefits quality because when people film using their phones usually their hands shake a little which can make the recorded footage less appealing to viewers. A tripod also allows people to film scenes that include themselves in it because they don't have to be holding the camera if the tripod is holding the camera. A tripod also has adjustable heights which allows many different types of scenes to be filmed. Some examples of shots that can be filmed with a tripod are mid shots, wide shots, low angles, and high angle shots. 

Within my film, the usage of the tripod will be used to stabilize the camera during some shots. The extension features on the tripod will also be used to film over the shoulder shots of people because if those features aren't used the tripod would not reach the height of a normal human. Some examples of camera angles that will be filmed using the tripod are over the shoulder shots, side shots, mid shots, and close ups.
