Blog Post #32- Plans for Filming
As the end of the final project is approaching, I need to start thinking about how many days I will spread filming across and when I will be filming my final project. This needs to be planned out because procrastinating the filming until the last second could lower the quality of my film and it could lead to more stress.
After thinking about filming, I decided that my filming will be done across 2 separate days. The first day will be filming all the scenes that the main character has with his initial friends and the scene where he is reconsidering his decisions. My reasoning behind this is because all these scenes need to be filmed at night so having 1 day for all the scenes at night would save time and would be ideal. This same logic then applies to the second day of filming which will be used for the purpose of recording the scenes that the main character has with his new friends, which will all be filmed during the day. Although all of this could be filmed in one day I think this would be overwhelming and confusing given the fact that I would have to film the end of the film before the start of the film because of the time of the day.
I now had to consider a date that I would commence my filming. After some thinking I will be commencing my filming across February 13th and 14th. My reasoning for this is because I think that leaving my self a month after filming gives me plenty of time to complete my micro tasks and edit my film and a date such as the 13th and 14th gives me more time to test out more elements that may be included in my film and to make revisions to my storyboard. This date also allows me to have a good amount of time to create a script for my project with time to spare in case there is errors with the script which would require revisions.
Having all of this planned out allows me to organize my time better and have a general idea of what I should be working on based on the time I have left before the end of the project.
